Citizen Georgia was initially launched as a monthly print publication and as a weekly radio show on 920WGKA in January 2003. The print publication remained in circulation until January 2005 whereas the radio show continued on until December 2006.
As Republicans became the dominant political party in the State of Georgia after the election of Sonny Perdue in 2002, it was the right time to hear a conservative voice in the debate of issues affecting all Georgians. Citizen Georgia -then and now- covers the business and political happenings in national and State of Georgia.
The digital version of Citizen Georgia.com was relaunched in 2012. With the popularity of social medias Facebook and Twitter, publishers Anthony-Scott and Phoebe Hobbs found a wonderful opportunity to engage their community in real-time on the issues, politics and business.
In 2012, we strengthened our focus on assisting small businesses across the state in their growth and increasing their lead generation through our weekly Citizen Georgia e-briefings, our business directory and reviews, and online advertising.
As Citizen Georgia continues to grow in readership, we appreciate the opportunities, and the relationships that have been formed.
